These larger spiders can seem intimidating but they are gentle giants. Very timid and shy spiders, you would be hard pressed to get one to bite you. I free handled the a lot growing up in Lakeland. This was taken at Circle Bar B Preserve in Lakeland, Florida. Captured on a Bronica EC-TL II with a 75mm f/2.8 lens on Kodak Portra 400.
